Since ten years, Traction sport + have made their mission to promote power kiting, starting the first kite skiing school in Quebec.

Coming
from the sport of skiing and sailing, he discovered the fascinating world of
kiting in 1992 during the " Rendez-vous Mondial du Cerf-volant à
Verdun".Right at this moment he told himself : "In two years, i'll be
in the field with all those international kiters. "
In 1993-94, he bought and builded many single line and acrobatic kites and started to compete in combat kite every months. The same winter, he took a basic course of kite-sking during a kite festival, with a Peel 5 meters kite! Since that moment he knew that power kiting was just what he was looking for in this sport.
In february 1994, he bought his first power kite. Having been a ski instructor and competitor for many years, he instantly discover a new and powerful passion. Imagine yourself skiing without mountain, no chairlift to wait and nothing to pay, and all that closer to your place then any ski resort. Since then,he took part to many kite festivals every where in Quebec, Ontario. "Those meeting are great, you make a lot of new friends and you trained in participating in small competitions."
He also competed in many competitions and three world championships of the WISSA (WORLD ICE AND SNOW SAILING ASSOCIATION) where he finished within the first top three every year.
Line Turcotte
Line make her entry in the world of kiting at St-Lambert, in 1995. At this occasion, she flew her first acrobatic kite and her first big kite, and octopus of nearly 25 meters long...Not bad for a first day!!!
During the winter, à Shawinigan-Sud, she tried for the first time skiing and as soon as she can stand -up she took a power kite and...(censured)
In 1996, every think was going well and she started to give some formation. She had the opportunity to participated in many activities almost every where in Quebec, she was even in charge of the power kite initiation in the first kite festival in Igaluit, Nunavut

In 1995, Cerfs-Volants TRACTION Sport + was born:
